The meme

The original doiq photograph stems from a reddit thread in 2021, where a user uploaded a selfie of his 91-year-old grandfather to Reddit.

This photo was then adopted as the profile picture for an online user otherwise known as 'doiq.’ This 'individual' was one of the earliest know supporters of the @Mozaic_fi protocol in its ideation phase in 2022. In early 2023, as part of its community building, Mozaic then adopted ‘doiq’ inherently within its community, immortalizing the figure with a channel in Discord where users would simply post the word ‘doiq.’

This channel has almost 50,000 individual ‘doiqs’ sent by users.

As more and more people were indoctrinated into doiqism, the mantra: doiq is love, doiq is life, doiq is freedom was adopted by many. And as the first half of 2023 panned out the Mozaic community continued to grow, partly attributed to the introduction of The-Doiqonomy V1.

The Doiqonomy V1 cemented the ‘cult-like' community of doiq and with that Mozaic’s parabolic growth it experienced throughout 2023 and was used to counter bots and farmers to fairly airdrop Mozaic’s token (at TGE) to active and long-term community supporters.

Doiq has since separated into its own living, breathing entity.

'doiq' is not a meme, a fad or culture.
