The [origin of doiq](/gospel/origin-of-doiq.md) stems from a reddit thread created in 2021 and has since grown into its own living breathing game and community of die hard doiqers. In this sense, doiq has a 'community first' approach at the heart of everything.
To date, The Doiqonomy has been entirely self-funded by the core contributors.

### Game Overview

Each season there will be additional parts of Planet I to explore with more on-chain components and objectives for players to engage in.
